Born November 10, 1897 in Tokyo. Studied nagauta under Kineya Kihei in 1908. Apprenticed to Hagioka Shōin I in 1912. Received masters license and performance name, Hagiwa, in 1920. In October 1928, she performed at the Ikaho Hall in Uguisudani, Tokyo. Served as a teacher of the Hagioka school, especially as an instructor of the Iemoto’s students. Counselor of the Japan Sankyoku Kyokai, Councilor of the Yamada School Koto Kyokai, and Executive Director of the Hagioka-kai, she was responsible for the development of the Hagioka-kai.
